Mopani Wood is a beautiful two-toned African hardwood which makes an amazing addition to any tropical freshwater aquarium or terrarium. A smooth surface and textured detail adds an awesome natural touch to any environment. The extremely dense hardwood sinks immediately and won't rot like driftwood, making it perfect for aquatic setups. Each piece has a unique shape, crafted by nature, and has been sandblasted clean so it's ready to be added to your aquarium or terrarium. Use with plants to create the "naturalistic" look.
This wood may release tannins into the water, creating a yellow or slightly brown tint. The tannins are natural compounds, and should not harm fish in freshwater environments, but soaking the wood before introducing it to your tank may help to minimize the tint. You can soak in a bucket a week or 2 to minimize the color tinting of the tank. Or after a few water changes the water will once again retain it's crystal clear beauty. It also naturally lowers PH.
The weight is displayed in each Pic for each piece. And the scale platform is 8"x8" to give you an idea of the size of each pieces width and a 18" steel ruler to show length. Pricing is determined by size and weight. Thanks Brian @ HRP.
